One Piece (ワンピース) I

This is an anime and manga series is created by mangaka Oda Ei'ichirō (尾田 栄一郎, ). One Piece focuses on a ragtag crew of pirates called Straw Hat Pirates (麦わら海賊団:, Mugiwara Kaizoku-dan) formed and led by Captain Monkey D. Luffy (モンキー・D・ルフィ:, Monkī Dī Rufi). Luffy's greatest ambition is to obtain the world's ultimate treasure, One Piece, and become Pirate King (海賊王: Kaizoku-Ō). This set of 6, unfortunately does not consist of all members. In this set, there's are Luffy, Zorro, Sanji, Nami, Robin and Chopper. The missing member of the crew is Usopp and the newly recruited, Franky. The set is crafted according to the One Piece game version instead of the manga version. It is much obvious to spot the difference by looking Sanji's attire.
One Piece (ワンピース)

Monkey D. Luffy (モンキー・D・ルフィ: Monkī Dī Rufi)

The captain of the Mugiwara Kaizoku-dan (麦わら海賊団,), Luffy comes from Fuschia Town. He is the son of Monkey D. Dragon (world's most wanted criminal), brother to Portgas D. Ace (ポートガス・D・エース:, Pōtogasu D. Ēsu), and the grandson of vice-admiral Monkey D. Garp (モンキー・D・ガープ中将: Monkī D. Gāpu Chūjō).

Luffy trademark Straw Hat (from which he gets his nickname 'Straw Hat Luffy') was entrusted to him by the legendary pirate captain Red-Haired Shanks (赤髪のシャンクス, Akagami no Shankusu). Aside from his hat, Luffy's customary outfit is a red vest, blue trousers, and sandals. Luffy has a scar on his left cheek, beneath his eye, which he gave himself as a child to prove that he was mature and unafraid of pain (also to possibly look more like Shanks who is his idol. As a child, Luffy accidentally ate a Devil Fruit (悪魔の実: Akuma no Mi) when it was left in an open case brought in by Shanks and his crew. The fruit, called the Gomu Gomu no Mi (ゴムゴムの実, Gum Gum Fruit, Rubber Rubber Fruit), turned Luffy into a rubber man capable of stretching, inflating, and bouncing back impact based attacks. But Luffy can still be hurt by physical attacks if they are powered with an emotion, as demonstrated by his grandfather and Nami. As a Devil Fruit user, Luffy cannot swim. Luffy hates missing his meal while asleep (especially after a battle) thus he has developed an ability to eat while sleeping, as well as being able to figure out in less than a second how many meals he has missed if unconscious for a period of time (counting five meals each day). These traits also seem to be common with Luffy's family, as seen with his brother Portgas D. Ace and his grandfather.

Roronoa Zoro (ロロノア・ゾロ)

He is a swordsman and the first member of Straw Hat Pirates to join the crew. His family name, Roronoa, comes from the real-life French pirate François l'Ollonais. The name "Zoro" comes from the Japanese "zorome", meaning a palindrome (a sequence that is the same backwards and forwards), since his birthday is November 11 (11/11). Zoro is a skilled swordsman who fights with santōryū, three daito (大刀:だいとう:, dairefers to Japanese long sword) katana (刀:かたな, Katana: is a type of Japanese backsword, and his own unique fighting style. Though not a samurai, he appears to maintain a certain degree of bushido (武士道:, Bushidō), meaning "Way of the Warrior, and is frequently mistaken for one.

He also likes sake, almost to the degree that Luffy likes meat, but like Nami (ナミ), he never gets drunk due to his inhumanly-high endurance and tolerance for alcohol. Another notable trait is his lack of orientation, as Zoro often gets lost, even in small, familiar spaces or when being led by someone. His goal is to become the world's best swordsman. To accomplish this, he has to defeat Dracule "Hawk Eye" Mihawk who, as of now in the story, holds the title. He confronted Mihawk once during the Baratie arc but lost to a 6 inch knife and was left with the huge scar on the front of his torso, which was caused by Mihawk's Black Sword (Großes Messer: meaning "great knife", also called Hiebmesser). After his defeat Zoro vowed never again to lose in terms of swordsmanship to anyone. Zoro's three katanas are Wadō Ichimonji (和道一文字;The One Road of Harmony), Sandai Kitetsu (三代鬼徹;Third Generation Demon-Splitter, alsoknown as Kitetsu III), Yubashiri (雪走;Snow Run/Snow Step; Snow Crasher or Running Snow).

Rurouni Kenshin(るろうに剣心) III

Know what...we have come to the last part of Rurouni Kenshin...awww......

四乃森 蒼紫 (Shinomori Aoshi)

四乃森 蒼紫 (Shinomori Aoshi) is a fictional "Okashira", or leader, of the Oniwabanshu (お庭番衆). He is 26 years old with black hair and ice-blue eyes. Stern, concise and cold, he is a genius spy. He seems to be unemotional most of the time but he has a soft spot reserved for his friends and Makimachi Misao (巻町 操). Aoshi was raised a ninja of the Oniwabanshū, who worked for the Shogunate government during the Edo period. Aoshi came face to face with Kenshin, When Kenshin was trying to rescue Takani Megumi (高荷 恵). Their battle ends with Aoshi's defeat. To put an end to the feud between them and to prove who is truly the strongest, both Aoshi and Kenshin decided to use their strongest attacks (their succession attacks, or "Ōugi"). Kenshin's Amakakeru Ryū no Hirameki defeats Aoshi's Kaiten Kenbu Rokuren. Before Kenshin leaves Kyoto, he asks if Aoshi would like to share a drink (of sake) with him; Aoshi refuses the offer, but goes on to say he would be willing to have tea with him when they meet again.

Aoshi's weapon of choice is a kodachi (小太刀:こだち). He originally used only one of these short swords, but later used a two-sworded style, employing a pair of the swords. When in their saya (鞘: さや; a sheath for holding a sword or other large blade), they appear to be part of a single sheathed sword, one blade appearing to be the hilt, while the second blade is stationed opposite the first and blends in with the saya itself, giving it the impression of being a nodachi ((野太刀:のだち, nodachi) is a large two-handed Japanese sword) . A dangerous opponent, he uses his speed together with a mix of sword and hand-to-hand combat moves called Kenpo (拳法, Kenpō: literally meaning "fist principles" or "fist method").

志々雄真実 (Makoto Shishio)

One of the most powerful enemies Kenshin has ever faced. The new Meiji government believed it would be in their best interests to eliminate Shishio as not only being powerful, Shishio is also a man who desired power. Thus during the Boshin War, Shishio was rendered unconscious by a blow to the head, doused in oil and burned alive by the new government formed by the Ishin Shishi. He survived, sustaining severe damage to his entire body. As a result of the damage done to his sweat glands, he could fight for no more than fifteen minutes; otherwise his temperature would continue to rise.

Afterwards, he assembled a group of the best fighters in Japan, called the Juppongatana (Ten Swords), to overthrow the Meiji government. Shishio envisioned a Japan ruled by him, enforcing the principles of natural selection, or what he called "the strong eat the weak. During his last fight with Kenshin, his body became so hot, his blood started to evaporate. Yumi (his lover) attempted to stop Kenshin out of concern for Shishio, but was impaled by Shishio's sword along with Kenshin. Yumi died happily knowing she had finally been of use in battle to her love. In the end Shishio was not exactly able to "surpass his limit". Right when he reached his limit, his temperature skyrocketed—igniting his body fat and oils—leaving him to die burning alive. As he did, he laughed maniacally, the meaning to the laughter lost to everyone. His most loyal servant, Hoji, followed him straight to the grave, slitting his throat in prison when the Meiji Government refused to let him have a public trial. At the end of the Kyoto Arc, he is seen with Yumi and Hoji in Hell. All three walk off into the distance, with Shishio claiming that he will conquer Hell.

One of the swords he uses is a serrated blade called Mugenjin which is soaked in the flesh and body fat of the victims he had killed over the years. As a result, he is able to execute fire-oriented techniques. Like Kenshin, he is able to register his opponent's techniques, and then analyze their strengths and weaknesses, taking advantage of them. His will to live is abnormally strong, almost as powerful as Kenshin's.Shishio's strength, durability, and ability to read his opponent place him in the same league as Kenshin. Shishio uses Mugenjin to execute techniques referred to by Hoji as "The Three Secret Swords".

Let's hope there will be more people falling in love with this set of beauty….

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱

Finally, the first set of figurines that we want to show everyone:
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱. It is an anime which is about the high school life of Haruhi Suzumiya and those around her. Haruhi is an active girl who has joined all her school’s clubs but quitted from them as she felt that they are boring. Until one day when Kyon (Haruhi’s classmate) initiated a conversation with her which inspired her to set up her own club- SOS Brigade. Kyon is the second founding member of SOS Brigade. Other members are Yuki Nagato, Mikuru Asahina and Itsuki Koizumi.

Haruhi Suzumiya 涼宮 ハルヒ
Haruhi is the founder and recruiter of SOS Brigade. She is interested in aliens, espers, time travelers and sliders but do not care for ‘odinary’ human beings. Due to her desperation in searching for these phenomenon in the world, she often cut off from anyone whom she felt uninteresting. Also, Haruhi is not aware that whenever she is angry, unhappy or jealous, she will activate her power to change, create or destroy a new reality.

Yuki Nagato 長門 有希
Yuki Nagato is the only one who willingly joins SOS Brigade. Yuki is a quiet and intelligent girl who enjoys reading. She is an artificial human (Haruhi does not know her true identity) whose mission is to observe Haruhi and make sure Haruhi does not use her godlike powers. Yuki has supernatural powers that is able to manipulate and change the environment or materials around her. For example, in a baseball game, she created a baseball bat that hits home runs only.

Mikuru Asahina 朝比奈 みくる
Mikuru Asahina is the fourth member of the SOS Brigade. She is a shy and timid girl who gets scared easily. Mikuru likes to daydream and at times, she is rather clumsy. Mikuru’s actual identity is a time traveler from the future to observe Haruhi and to investigate a massive timequake.

Rurouni Kenshin(るろうに剣心) II

神谷 薫 (Kamiya Kaoru)

Kamiya Kaoru adheres to her father's ideal of "Katsujin-ken" or "Swords that give life," which teaches that swordsmanship should be used, not to kill but protect. Kaoru inherited a small dojo from her father after he was killed during the Seinan War (also called the Satsuma Rebellion) and operates it by herself. This is quite a feat, considering that she's only seventeen. Kenshin feels that her beliefs should become a reality: "If this one had a wish, it would only be that her lie become the truth of this world."
One of Kaoru's biggest fears is that Kenshin might someday return to wandering, leaving her to be alone again. She gets jealous whenever another girl is also interested in Kenshin. Her obvious feelings toward Kenshin are noticed even by his enemies (many of whom refer to Kaoru as "Kenshin's woman"), and often use Kaoru as a chink in his armor. In reality, Kenshin cares very deeply for Kaoru, and expresses this when he gives an emotional farewell to Kaoru before leaving for Kyoto near the beginning of the Kyoto Arc. After saying goodbye to her and then leaving(thinking that they may never see each other again), Kaoru went into a deep depression, but was soon given the courage to go to Kyoto in order to see Kenshin after a more than irritated Megumi gave her a pep talk. Till the end Kaoru finally gains both Kenshin's trust and love and eventually got married, and have a son named Himura Kenji.
相楽 佐之助 (Sagara Sanosuke)

Sanosuke left home at an early age to join the Sekihoutai. The Sekihoutai fought for the imperial alliance at the end of the Tokugawa regime and Sanosuke admired his captain, Sagara Sōzō and took the surname Sagara from him. The Sekihoutai were on assignment to spread word of the halving of taxes proclaimed by the revolution. However, when the revolutionary government encountered financial problems, they labeled the Sekihoutai as frauds to bury their promises. This setup was engineered by Shindō Tatewaki, a former officer in the imperial alliance. The Sekihoutai were designated scapegoats and to be executed; Sanosuke was the only survivor, other than his friend Tsukioka Katsuhiro.

Full of anger and bitterness, Sanosuke made a living as a fighter-for-hire who bore the nickname "Zanza" derived from his weapon, the zanbatō. The symbol on the back of Sanosuke's jacket is the Japanese kanji 惡 (Aku), which means "Evil". He bears this symbol as a mark of his loyalty towards his past in the Sekihōtai, but also serves as a reminder to defend innocent people who have been wronged. This kanji can also be interpreted to Bad Hearted. Eventually, he was hired to kill Kenshin, but after being defeated by the former assassin and learning of Kenshin's no-kill approach, Sanosuke becomes a valuable ally. He later adopts a boxing-like fighting skill, known for the strength of his right fist. Because the zanbato was broken during the fight, Sanosuke no longer wields it on a regular basis, using only one more time in the manga to defend the Kamiya dojo during the Jinchu arc.At the end of the manga series, Sanosuke leaves Japan to avoid becoming wrongfully arrested and travels the world. He is not heard from until five years later during a reunion of the Kenshin-gumi, in which he tells them via a letter that he is in Mongolia and will stay there for a while before heading back to Japan.

Rurouni Kenshin(るろうに剣心)

Rurouni Kenshin(るろうに剣心)originally appeared in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from September 2, 1994 to November 4, 1999, and the completed work consists of 28 tankōbon(単行本)volumes. Rurouni Kenshin, is a manga and anime series created by mangaka (漫画家, comic artist) - Watsuki Nobuhiro(和月伸宏),. The story is set during the early Meiji period in Japan.( 明治時代,, Meiji-jidai), or Meiji era, denotes the 45-year reign of Emperor Meiji, running, in the Gregorian calendar, from 23 October 1868 to 30 July 1912. During this time, Japan started its modernization and rose to world power status.

This set of 5 figurines is a long awaited prized collection since…I don't even remember when. Fans of Kenshin, this is a must have. The characters being included in this set are, Himura Kenshin (緋村 剣心), Kamiya Kaoru (神谷 薫), Sagara Sanosuke (相楽 佐之助), Shinomori Aoshi (四乃森 蒼紫), Makoto Shishio(志々雄真実). The detailed facial carve works and the rich colours are the plus points for this set to raise it above normal collection. I do hope my lousy photograhphy skill is able to do justic to them.

For our first presentation, we've chosen Kenshin to be our first model. Hit…it..Kenshin…Smile…?

Himura Kenshin (緋村 剣心)

The story tells of an assassin named Himura Kenshin (緋村 剣心), who was known as the Hitokiri Battōsai ("Man killer - Master of the Sword"). The title implies he has mastered the technique of Battōjutsu (sword drawing technique, studied in modern times as Iaijutsu) and can draw his sword with lightning speed. Hitokiri was the title given to samurai assassins ("man slayers" in the English anime).

After the Revolution, Kenshin grieves for all the lives he had taken, and vows that he will never kill again. He picked up a reverse-blade sword, Sakabato, given to him by a master swordsmith and assumed the life of a "rurouni". This word was created by Watsuki as a fusion of the words "Ronin" (masterless samurai) and "wanderer"). Kenshin becomes a technical master of the Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryū swordstyle after completing his previously abandoned training with his master, but declines the official mastership and title of "Hiko Seijūrō",given to each disciple who masters Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu swordsmanship along with a traditional cape that is passed down to each "Hiko Seijūrō". Kenshin's master, Hiko Seijūrō XIII, has always find it hard to pass the cape to Kenshin, because Kenshin is not comfortable with the cape. Plus being a small built guy, both master and disciple agrees that Kenshin look awful with the huge cape dragging alongside.

Next character coming up….. Kamiya Kaoru (神谷 薫)….
